Congratulations to Buyi Makhubo and Shelley Edwards for being awarded South African Biosystematics Initiative (SABI) Student International Travel Awards. Ryan Daniels was awarded the DAAD-NRF (German Academic Exchange Service - National Research Foundation) Joint Scholarship.

ABRD students receive NRF awards

SABI, funded by the Department of Science and Technology, makes travel awards available every year and students from all over South Africa apply for these grants. Earlier this year we received the good news that both Buyi and Shelley have been successful. This funding will allow the pair to attend the 7th World Congress of Herpetology in August 2012, in Vancouver Canada.
