Early Detection and Rapid Response: Who we are & where we work

SANBI, through a national co-ordinator, is responsible for the implementation and management of the institutional arrangements of the Early Detection and Rapid Response programme at national and regional level. When the programme is fully staffed it should include the following levels of management:

Regional Co-ordinators

The programme currently has seven regional co-ordinators, responsible for the Northern Cape, Western Cape, Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo-North West and Mpumalanga. All detections are channelled through these offices at regional level.

Spotters

The National Steering Committee

The committee consists of senior members of SANBI and the other key stakeholders and will oversee the programme.
