Karoo Desert NBG Education: Stakeholder Engagement

Partnerships are necessary for sustainable environmental programmes. Various opportunities for networking as well as biodiversity education work have resulted in a number of productive partnerships being developed in the Worcester area. We have formed good relationships with the Cape Winelands Education Department as well as the Breede Valley Municipality.

The Cape Winelands Education Department has made access to the schools so much easier and supported our teacher professional development initiatives.

With the Breede Valley Municipality we trained municipal workers and in turn the municipality supplied the schools with stones and trees for their indigenous gardens.
