Kirstenbosch Education: Stakeholder Engagement
The long history of environmental education at Kirstenbosch has seen various partnerships with relevant stakeholders being developed, strengthened and either renewed or eventually ended as new partnerships are formed. This ebb and flow of partnerships has, however, resulted in the development of an extensive network of environmental education and other relevant practitioners.
Currently, our main partners and stakeholders are as follows:
- Western Cape Education Department
- Department of Water Affairs
- Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries
- WESSA
- Eco-Schools
- Botanical Society of South Africa
- The Table Mountain Fund
- WWF SA
- C.A.P.E.
- University of Wisconsin Steven’s Point GET Project
- City of Cape Town
- CapeNature
- Winterthur Garden and Landscaping Society
- Atomic Productions
- Uvuyo Trading 103
- The Table Mountain Cable Car Company
- SANParks
- Drakenstein Municipality
- SAEON
- American Institute for Foreign Studies (AIFS)
- Airport Company of South Africa (ACSA)
- Cape Bird Club
