Celebration of Environmental Days / Weeks

Six environmental days / weeks namely, Wetlands Day, Word Water Day, Biodiversity Day, World Environmental Day, Arbor Week and Marine Week are celebrated through events with schools and communities in and/or outside the Garden. The activities for each celebration resonate with the themes for the year for each environmental day / week.

Exhibitions and Expos

Exhibitions or expos are done annually in the Garden together with stakeholders in environmental education. Learners from high schools are invited to come and view stands with different information about biodiversity, environmental issues and conservation approaches.

Careers Programme

A comprehensive programme of careers in biodiversity is facilitated with educators and learners. Career days are celebrated through two Edu-fairs in partnership with schools and other stakeholders.  Learners are given opportunities to engage with various organizations showcasing careers in biodiversity and conservation.
