Lowveld NBG Education: Garden-based Programme
The Garden-based programme is designed to bring schools to the Garden for guided educational programmes. All the educational programmes facilitated are linked to the current curricullum.
For the effective running of the programme, Assistant Education Officers (AEO's) are trained by the Environmental Education Officer (EEO) on the facilitation and presentation of the programmes developed for the schools coming to the Garden.
Programmes are offered for five days a week and can accommodate learners from grade R - 12. Programmes accomodate learners from diverse backgrounds. The programme is currently running but schools need to arrange their own transport and the entrance fees to the Garden.
Programmes are conducted in English and run for a maximum of 3 hours (09:00 - 12:00).
Special programmes can be arranged on request.
